About The Tour

The months of 'Aashadh' and 'Saawan' bring a whole new season of celebrations in Indian culture. There is no parallel in the world to the celebration of rains as in India - festivals, feasts, songs, and needless to say that it has inspired countless poets and writers, be it the rains and clouds forming the backdrop to Kalidas's Meghdoot as early as 5th CE, or music set in backdrop of rains in Indian cinema.

Team TheBrownTicket invites you to a journey to "Mandu" during monsoons, a time when the natural beauty mixed with the historical ruins of Mandu, makes it a divine experience!
And Mandu also stands as witness to the legendary romance of Rani Roopmati and Baz Bahadur... The tales of their love embedded in the monuments, the folklore, and well even in names of hotels and the menus of local restaurants!!

We will also eat our way through the street foods @ Saraffa Bazaar, as we explore the historical city of the Maratha Holkars, "Indore" and eventually end our journey at Maheshwar, where we gaze at the swollen Narmada as we explore this city of temples and ghats and understand the world-famous Maheswari silk weaves!
